Hello there, my name is Denatus and I am the creator and operator of this forum, mainly a gathering space for spice and wolf fans, but also for those who are interested in other anime and games. Feel free to advertise your site in our advertisement section below.

Anyway, I always thought it was 'Horo' not 'Holo.' I'm not bothered by it... just wondering which one is the right term.

Apparently it can be spelled either way. There are alternate spellings for it. The translated images tend to use Horo, as does the light novel, but wikipedia and a few other sites have her as Holo.

What is the big dealio with apples, theys is yummy hehehe.

Also is Horo like the apple gaurdian or something, or is she just obsessed with apples?

Also, is she real? Cos that would be so awesome if she was. The wolf is my second favourite animal, the Fox being the first.

Also, does she have any proper powers in her human form, cos if not then how will she defend the apples?

Yeah, I have atched up to episode 6.

It is awesome, both funny and involving giant wolves, which makes it really awesome.

Srsly though, is that a real japanese legend of Horu, or is it made up.

I'm not sure. You can get more of a clue by reading the Light Novels, I suppose. I have about 1/2 of Volume III under Spice and Wolf Discussion translated for you to read after you finish the Anime; It's the events that occur -after- the anime is finished. Don't read it till then, otherwise you'll have major spoilers!

Yeah, I wish Horo was real. At least, I'm pretty sure that she isn't. Not to ruin the mood, but I doubt she is real. You don't really see too many cute girls (looking the age of 15... or so) with wolf ears or tail now, do you?

You surely don't know of my school disco's, especially the hallowe'en one. Most of the girls come as cats or foxes or something,via just using ears and a tail.

In fact the first girl i dated, we met at a hallowe'en disco, and she was dressed as a cat with ears and a tail.
